Cinnamon blondies


I LOVE BROWNIES. That being said, I have a good friend who is allergic to chocolate. and i'm getting so i hate to eat it in front of her because she still loves it it just doesn't love her. So i have been looking for "chocolate free" recipes.

I went on the hunt for a Blondie recipe, but all that i found had choc chips in them. and many weren't very rich like a true brownie is. and that (to me) is just a cookie not a brownie.

SOOO I hunted until i found a recipe that was indeed rich. then i tinkered with it a tid bit. and she gave her approval of the things this am.

Cinnamon Blondie's

1 cup Butter
3 cups brown sugar
3 eggs
3 Tablespoons vanilla extract

3 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt

bag of cinnamon chips

pre heat oven to 325
mix first 4 ingredients, then add next four and mix thoroughly, will be thicker than cake batter nearly the consistency of cookie dough. add 1/2 of the bag of chips.

Grease 9x13 pan spread batter evenly, top with remaining chips. Press in slightly.

Bake 1 hour until center is done.
