A childhood friend of mine brought this b-e-a-utiful piece of fabric to me on her last visit home. she felt i could be more creative with it than she could.
But, it feels so silky and wonderful, and it is so exceptionally pretty, that I simply have no idea how to use it or what to use it for, Honestly it seems like a perfect formal "wrap".
For those of you who know my pics sometimes come out w bit on the "yellow" side, the edge of the fabric is royal blue that transitions into a teal and back to royal blue on the other edge. and the design is gold thread

See, Krista? Now you understand my dilemma with it! I got it on sale, and planned to make a really nice babywearing ring sling with it... which I did. The problem was this: I never had a formal place to use it, much less a formal event that my infant son was invited to! I was modeling it after some beautiful silk ring slings that were sold for upwards of $100. I never understood why anyone would want a silk ring sling. The baby is just gonna puke on it! (Secretly, though, I did obtain one second hand, and it was beautiful... until I washed it incorrectly.)
So I'm leaving it all up to you, and your blog readers. It makes a nice table cloth (although not gravy friendly)! I guess it would also make nice pillows (but not kid friendly). Maybe you can put some fringe on the ends, and it could be a wrap - but hopefully, you'll have someplace more formal to attend than I ever do!
Enjoy it!
Hugs,
Erin
