Red and Black

This is my Grandmother, and her favorite colors were Red and Black. She had them together all over the place. Pillows and blankets of her own were all red and black crochet. One of her favorite Ceramic paints was a black with a red crystal. Notice even her dress is red and black in this picture!

I wonder if this is where I get my color obsession from????

So I couldn't help but think of grandma as I crochet this red and black Linus blanket. I used a black yarn along with black eyelash.

This picture of Grandma was taken in our yard on the day we celebrated Grandpa's 80th birthday I had made the dress she has on, from a pattern that I made myself.

Angel,
I don't see why it wouldn't work on cotton. except...

cotton will fray on the edges when you wash it. so as a quilt edge binding I think it will "fall short" of what is best. The work you put into a quilt is too much to "slacker" around it with a skip stitch blade. I think traditional binding would work best for you.
