Oatmeal Cookies

This is I have to say the original oatmeal raisin cookie I have looked for this for YEARS. crispy on the outside soft on the inside.
eat them alone or with a glass of milk. AND with whole grain oatmeal.... they lower your cholesterol! but how many would you have to eat??? and how much weight would you gain trying to lower it this way?

Old-Fashioned Everyday Oatmeal Cookies

1 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Cup Shortening
2 Eggs
2 Teaspoons Vanilla
1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1 1/2 Cups Flour
3 Cups Old fashioned Oats
1 Cup Pecans Chopped
1 Cup Raisins
drop cookies onto sheet with cookie scoop
Bake 350 deg. take out when edges are browned.
