Place Mat decision

With the table cloth done, I now want to make my place mats. I am thinking about the plum as my main color, then i am going to piece in a strip of the table cloth top fabric. I have my strips all cut and ready, but i have to make up my mind on which one I like the best.


It was late when I took these shots, so once again these are far more Yellow than they REALLY are.

The lighter shade of lavender I am thinking of using as my binding.

and now that I have seen them both, I think the top one is what I will use. THAT was a cool way to decide!
