I have started my spring cleaning. Actually I hate this job. Prior to getting sick, I did a different "spring cleaning chore" every day as a part of my routine. Then I never had to rip the whole house apart twice a year.
BUT well routines get put aside at times, and I am trying to get those little chores put back into my routine.
Today it was ripping the knobs off my stove and soaking them and scrubbing behind them. I have always hated this. Mom used to use a butter knife to do this job. But it never worked well for me.
The handle works as a handle (duh) and the tong part works as a second handle.
Then you just rock the knob off.
No scratches on the stove, no slipped knife injuries.

One more tiny tip... After scrubbing off all the gunk, and Windexing it, I spray the whole appliance with pledge {mom used to use Johnson's kitchen wax but we cant find that anymore} it will bring your old appliance to a "like new" shine.
Do be carefull not to get the pledge on your linoleum, it will make a slick spot, and falling and bashing your head into your clean stove is not the desired result!
