Bathing to me has always been a time of relaxation. Nothing was better than to pour a glass of red wine and light some candles and draw a nice bubble bath.
But the apartment I have lived in for the last 12 years doesn't have one. All we have is a shower stall. I have lamented over my missing "tubbie time" the entire time I have lived here.
Well Whine No More! I have done no actual crafting because I have been planning and painting. My husband thinks I am off my nut, but I know that this Will Work!
The top of our shower is enclosed and prone to mold, not much I can do about that other than paint it with some Kilz. (Hopefully I can keep the door open until the shower dries out and it will resist molding.) It covers up the mold as well as makes it all look nice and new. A quick $10 fix.
Then I added this unfinished shelf. (I picked it up at NTCH for like 50 cents but I have seen this same shelf at Michael's for $10) I painted it with the left over Kilz paint.
I added some cheap Wal-mart Pillar candles, and two tiny tea candles in glass votive holders.
VoilĂ old stinky moldy shower turns to nice relaxing spa shower! All for under $30
No news is good news?
