Test Apron

I have trouble learning a new pattern. So I have decided to make a "test" apron with the fabric I had in my stash. I get rid of some of my fabric learn the pattern then I can give away the apron. and when I do MY apron I wont have a bunch of "that was so hard to figure out!" thoughts every time I put on my apron.

I certainly hope the person who I have in mind for this apron likes it!

This was a fairly simple pattern I found it online at Susan Branch Patterns
the pattern is there in PDF so all you have to do is print it right off with the instructions. WONDERFUL!

Changes I would make to the instructions?

  1. surge the pieces together as you go
  2. fasten the neck straps on the same as the back tie backs
This pattern is Tailored, so you need to be able to "fit it to your frame" at least if you are a plus size, (another reason for the test run) but is easily adapted to a larger frame simply by making the part that lies on the "fold" larger. The rest shouldn't make much difference. That part fits me fine, but from breast to breast it is too small on me. It fits my average sized teen wonderfully.
