Summer sign

I had the greatest thing happen today! My Jack-in-the-pulpit came up.

Now I am sure that it was sprouted yesterday, but I was just out in the bed yesterday, pulling the 1,000 dandelions out of my bed and I didn't notice it. And from the look of the leaves, they just unfurled today.

It was far too dry last year, and it shriveled before it was good and strong. I was very afraid that it wouldn't be back this year. So I was ever so happy to see it today!
