wind chimes

I love wind chimes. My house sits in a valley, and the wind just seems to "tunnel" past my house all year round. In the winter its not so nice, we have a lot of drifting problems with the snow, but come spring/ summer my chimes come out!

This particular set I bought in Knoxville, Tennessee while vacationing with my parents. It was the last vacation I was able to take with my father who passed in 2007. So these chimes are especially special to me. They chime almost obnoxiously loud. Loud enough that Daddy was able to hear it without his hearing aid, or you can hear it inside with the doors and windows shut.

They make me smile.
